Mr. McGregor's Fence® Kits

Mr. McGregor's Fence® Kits are designed to protect backyard vegetable gardens from deer, rabbits, woodchucks, groundhogs, raccoons, squirrels, skunks, dogs, cats and other like sized critters. They are ideal when you have an open space without an existing fence. 

Kits come in 50ft and 100ft lengths and contain everything you need to protect an area with the indicated perimeter. For example, the 50 ft kit will go around a 10' x 15' garden; the 100 ft kit will go around a 20' x 30' garden. Extender kits come in 50ft and 100ft lengths and you can extend any system up to a half-mile.

If you have an existing fence you want to electrify or your garden is partially surrounded by a wooden or chain link fence,  combine our kits with nail-on, chain link, universal or T-post insulators to complete an electric circuit. See FAQ for more information.

Step 1: Select for the soil conditions surrounding your garden

Mr. McGregor's Fence® Kits for Dry and Arid Areas
These kits are recommended for areas with no moisture in the soil surrounding the garden. If your garden is in desert areas of the US southwest then choose this kit.

Mr. McGregor's Fence® Kits for Moist Areas
These kits are recommended for areas where rainfall is predictable or plentiful and the soil surrounding the garden has some moisture at a depth of 2ft or less.

Mr. McGregor’s Fence® Custom Electric Fence
This system is designed to keep raccoons out of ponds, vineyards and small corn fields. Because there are so many variables we make it easy for you to design your own. These can be set up in dry and moist areas.
